Note: the exhibition continues till 6th February and the gallery hours are 10 - 4pm daily.

This exhibition aims to re-examine the importance of the landscape with a focus on rocks. These brightly coloured paintings of familiar Western Australian places will provide an opportunity for people to reconnect with nature. Allowing them to pause and reflect on the value of preserving these natural spaces. This is especially vital with the associated effects of climate change.

The use of non-realistic colours with unusual combinations bring emphasis to the rocks’ shape and texture. This works to evoke different moods within the viewer. These paintings continue Morris’s exploration of how the interplay of colour informs perception of place.
